Brand Scarab. The elite of motorboats

Do you still remember the iconic series "Miami Vice" from the 80s? It was in this series that Scarab motorboats played their legendary role. Later, they also appeared on the set of "Baywatch." It's no wonder they gained worldwide fame and reputation, becoming symbols of power, wealth, and authority. However, their popularity is not solely due to television. Let's take a closer look at this iconic brand.

A Brief History of the Scarab Brand

The first Scarab boats were produced as early as the 1970s. The brand was initiated by American motorboat enthusiast Larry Smith. It seems he knew what he was doing by naming the boats scarabs, which symbolize growth and new life.

In 1980, Smith teamed up with Wellcraft, a commercial producer of motorboats and fishing boats. Their joint efforts led to the creation of an extraordinary series of motorboats, which at that time enjoyed immense popularity mainly among the American elite, the baby boomer generation.

In 1984, the first season of "Miami Vice" was aired, showcasing Scarab boats in all their glory and power, bringing the brand worldwide recognition.

Since then, Scarab boats have been associated with unique design, luxury, and prestige.

In the late 1990s, the development of the Scarab brand slowed somewhat, but the manufacturers ensured its grand return in 2013. Scarab motorboats were even listed among the Boating Industry Top Products 2014.

Thus, scarabs became the embodiment of the new life they symbolize.

Today's Scarab Boats

Modern Scarab boats differ significantly from the iconic models made famous by American series, not only due to technological advancements but also generational change. Baby boomers are now an aging generation, and although they have no shortage of money, they no longer buy boats for themselves but for their children and grandchildren – for millennials. In turn, they appreciate sporty design and electronic additions.

However, Scarab boats are still crafted with attention to detail and safety. They are equipped with engines from the renowned Rotax company, which in Scarab boats can reach up to 500 HP. Onboard, functional space-saving solutions are used, modern flooring systems that drain water, and ergonomic seats made from top-quality materials, adorned with the brand's chrome logo.

Scarab motorboats are available in three configurations: Standard, HO, Impulse, and Luxury (e.g., model 255). So if you want to feel like Don Johnson in "Miami Vice," you need to try them out.

The model can be tailored to individual needs – families and young people prefer recreational models with plenty of space at the stern, while those who purchase a motorboat mainly for transport purposes will appreciate more space in the cockpit. The manufacturer provides a wide selection of models and accessories, as well as a warranty and dedicated service.
