A way to reduce symptoms associated with seasickness is to follow a proper diet and avoid heavy meals, fats, as well as alcohol and carbonated drinks. Dietary supplements and pharmaceuticals are also effective. Preparations containing natural ginger, as well as acupuncture patches, help alleviate discomfort.
