Although a quad is an ideal vehicle for off-roading, it is important to remember to only ride on designated routes and adhere to speed limits. Reckless riding in wild areas without good knowledge of the surroundings may not end well. It is also important to remember that a quad trip should respect the surrounding nature: forests, farmland, and encountered animals.

Driving larger quads weighing more than 400 kg requires a B1 or B category driving license. This means that the passion for sporty quad stunts can begin as early as age 14.
